  • Agri. Library, UTokyo Digital Archive
    • Library materials such as Kokugyu Juzu (『国牛十図』: Ten Ox Herding Pictures), Tokyo Teikoku Daigaku Nogakubu Tatemono Ichizu (『東京帝國大學農學部建物位置圖』: Tokyo Imperial University Faculty of Agriculture Building Location Map) were digitized and now available.
  • Early Japanese Books – Agri. Library, UTokyo (NIJL Database of Pre-Modern Japanese Works)
    • Library materials were digitized through the “Project to Build an International Collaborative Research Network for Pre-modern Japanese Texts (NIJL-NW project)” promoted by the National Institute of Japanese Literature (NIJL) and available from the “Database of Pre-Modern Japanese Works”.

  • When using the Images in academic publications, users are encouraged to donate physical copies to our library that hold the original materials.
  • Please note that we may make the copies available for our users.

University Library for Agricultural and Life Sciences, the University of Tokyo has begun free use of Images. On the other hand, this makes it harder to grasp how much images are being used.
We would therefore like to know how much the published Image is being used for our future reference.

Previous exhibition

  • From the Collections of the Library, Faculty of Agriculture: the Process of Education in Agricultural Sciences (in Japanese)
    • This is the website for Agr. Library’s exhibition held in 2000 to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the Faculty of Agriculture. On display are agricultural books and illustrations of plants and animals published in the early modern period, books by famous foreign scholars of plants and animals or people with connections to Japan, books and lecture notes by Komaba School of Agriculture instructors, Nomu Temmatsu (『農務顛末』) and Kosaku Kanko Chosa (『小作慣行調査』) researched and compiled by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (Department of Agriculture and Commerce), and theses by graduates of the University of Tokyo and their bibliographies.
