For Those Submitting a Doctoral Dissertation

Publication of doctoral dissertations on the Internet

According to the revision of the Degree Regulations, those who were awarded a doctoral degree on or after April 1, 2013 are required to disclose the full text of their doctoral dissertation through UTokyo Repository within one year from the date of the award, in principle.
However, if the Graduate School of Agriculture and Life Sciences recognizes unavoidable circumstances that prevent disclosure via the Internet for more than one year after receiving the degree, an abstract of the doctoral dissertation will be disclosed instead of the full text.

  Special care should be taken when using the copyrighted works of others in your dissertation.
• How to check a journal publisher’s copyright policy
  In order to publish a doctoral dissertation written as a journal article, it is necessary to check the copyright policy of each journal.
