Information for Article Processing Charge

The APC (Article Processing Charge) for Open Access journals may be waived or reduced by agreement with the publisher.

Initiatives

• The University of Tokyo Open Access Policy
  The University of Tokyo established its Open Access Policy on 22 February 2023.
• UTokyo Open Science Portal (in Japanese)
  It is a portal providing information on open access and open science published by the University of Tokyo Library System. Open Access Handbook 3rd edition ‘Practical section’ (in English) is available as a guide for implementing open access.

  There are instructions on how to write basic papers and information on various workshops.
• UTokyo Writing Resources (Office for Advancement of Research Administrators)
  Information on writing and submitting English-language papers is aggregated and delivered to you.

User Guide Video (How to Find Resources)

You can learn via the videos how to find journal articles in specific fields, how to obtain literatures, how to use e-journals and databases from inside and outside the university, etc.
